STORY TIME!

So the other night I was apparently SUPER ULTRA sleepy but I wasn't aware of it and it was only 9 ish at night. It was the kind where you get all giggly about everything, and it didn't help that I was reading a bunch of funny photo stories on my phone while Dahm was playing video games. He was quite amused. Well that night Ricky decided to eat his breakfast at like 4 pm, even though it had been in his bowl all day. Do you remember in the movie Corpse Bride, where the groom was rehearsing his vows in front of the two families? Right at the beginning? Well I was filling up his food bowl before I got myself a snackie, and while I was pouring it into his bowl I dropped a few pieces. Out of nowhere, I said "OH nO she dropped the FOOD!" in the EXACT same way the Mother Everglott said "oh no he dropped the ring!" and I could NOT stop laughing and it didn't help that Dahm had no idea what I'd meant, but that did not stop me laughing LOL. I couldn't stop laughing even while I was eating my cereal, and dahmahnic couldn't stop chuckling to himself about me. That's when I realized that I must be super ultra mega tired and that I should PROBABLY get some sleep hahaha :) I know, boring story, but I still giggle about it even now.

Coordinating cute photos

One is of Dahm's judo ohana that we took at their Halloween party the night before. Was really fun!

It's been a good while

Sorry it's been so very long since I sat down and had a good write. A lot has been going on! But, I am cozy on my bed with my new lappytop and I don't see why I shouldn't sit down and update everything!
Let me start with Halloween!
Well Dahmahnic and I really don't take too many photos when we are out and about, we usually get too distracted with having fun, so I'll just have to tell you all about it.
Firstly - For Halloween, we booked a couple tickets to go on a night cruise on the "Pirate Ship" adventure tours. We (I) thought of it early September, and we booked it a few weeks in advance so we were pretty excited.
Secondly - Costumes. We decided to be all cutesy couple like and we went with couples costumes. At first, I really wanted to do Buttercup and Westley costumes to keep kind of in the theme with the activity - piracy. LOL. Then I realized, NO ONE sells those costumes, and they'd be a pain in the tuckus to make, so I got to thinking. Dahm really likes The Fifth Element, so I thought why the heck not that's a great costume idea, and he thought it was brilliant of me as usual. So we went to the mall and made up our costumes. He pretty much just needed to cut the sleeves off an orange shirt, and I got some high-waisted shorts and a t-shirt (along with a wig that I had to cut and style haha) to give the appearance of wearing a cropped shirt without actually having to wear a cropped shirt. It was a lot of fun, we played all sorts of games on the ship, blasted some water guns, and were able to watch the Hilton fireworks from the ocean and it was a perfect view. Dahmahnic kept laughing when everyone was like, "You're the fifth element and that other guy right?" because he said that without me his "costume" literally made no sense. We met a lot of nice people that were around our age and we had a blast. Afterwards, we were driving home and Dahm said he was kinda hungry (It's like 9:30 pm) and we just barely had driven past this place in Waikiki that I had looked up online and had been dying to try (THEY HAD MACARONS!!!!). So we had us some dinner and cookies, and headed back. It was pretty fun.

November went by pretty quickly. We had a really good Thanksgiving, with just the right amount of leftovers for me to eat later :) we sold our old TV to Dahm's shipmate and buddy Renoud, and it turned out to be a perfect fit because he needed one that he could connect easily to a computer and it turned out our old one worked just fine for that. It still had a year left on the maintenance plan, and we had the original receipts and manuals and the box, so we both got a pretty good deal. I've mostly just been doing some home improvement stuff. I'm thinking about taking some of the money I can get for school and taking an interior design course. It's funny how you can just find out that you not only really like something that you previously thought was pointless, but also find out that you have a small knack for it. I've really been slacking on my crochet, I have been feeling a little burned out on it lately, and it gives me cramps all over from having to sit still and have to stare at your hands for long periods of time.

Dahm also bought me some lovely flowers, which I of course put on my flower table. We've been doing pretty well, but Dahm has been being a little frivolous with money. He actually GAVE a huge sum of it away which REALLY ticked me off. I'll have to tell you more about that over the phone, but he wasn't doing it to be mean and he misunderstood what I said to him (he DID try to discuss it with me at 5 in the morning).

Overall it's been really good. We have our reservations set up to go to Kauai for Christmas, and so far everything seems to be going very smoothly. The navy has stolen him again though, which is a MAJOR bummer. I don't know what that new captain's dealio is, he said he didn't really want to make them go underway too much, but he has it scheduled so often  it's really quite lame. I'm hoping next year we get a real vacation, one where we can actually visit our families and stuff. SIGH. It's so weird to know that we won't be there in Wyoming this year, I know it's bumming me out way more than it's bumming him out. But I guess with it being so short, most the vacation would be spent travelling here and there and it really wouldn't be all that fun for him.

OH yes. My friend Leah had her baby, she's about two weeks old now and a cutie. Turns out though that baby Ella has a congenital issue with her thyroid that isn't genetic but actually occurs in 1/4000 babies for some unknown reason. Luckily, it's something that can be helped with medicine, and there's even a slight chance that she can outgrow it. I'm glad that if it had to be something that it could be something very manageable and something that won't put her in a lot of pain. I was helping one of her neighbors pick up a mattress with my truck (I made $20 just driving!) and it turned out she lived perpendicular to Leah! Her older daughter Aubree was playing outside with the neighbors, and she recognized me from outside the truck, and when I parked she got super excited and ran to give me hugs and kisses. She's pretty adorable and she's a hoot to boot. I think I'll be taking her to McDonald's soon so we can hang out and Leah can have some off time.
I posted a photo of the crochet Christmas stockings I made last year, and there were three, and Dahm's sister Heather was all, DID I MISS SOMETHING????? HHAHAHAHAH yeah noooooooooooooo. It seems like everyone I know either is having a baby, just had a baby, or is trying to have a baby. Kelsey Wilcox (now Norton) has a little baby, Trisha is preggers, a girl I went to jr high and highschool with is preggos, and I'm just standing over here with my doggies going, "Wait, what? Was there a memo I missed? Was there a pregnancy pact during a woman meeting that I skipped?" LOL. It still feels weird to be married, it seems like that's an old person thing (Well older than me person thing), I don't know what I'd do if I was about to have a kid. Maybe in like 5 years I'll feel old enough. Hahaha.

Anywaysssssssssss the dogs are super cute. Cocoa is in heat so she's been more willing to snuggle up to Ricky and play with him, which actually is really adorable and not weird except for a little bit. She took it upon herself to clean out his ears earlier this morning, which was a favor he shockingly returned. I bet if she acted this lovey all the time that Ricky would too. He's been being a peach haha, much more calm than usual because she's WANTED to play with him and rough house (as much as she can at least). Maybe she'll learn that he isn't just something that gets on her nerves hahahah. I'm thinking about breeding her next year or the one after if we move. I can't wait to hold cutey little baby puppies!!

Well I am starting to get a cramp in my hand, it's been awhile since I've typed this much! I love you all!

It takes the fun out of funky

So dahmahnics mom keeps sending us stupid stupid crap. She always has sent us crap, but it's been extra crappy lately. For his birthday she sent him a book about cults and it was covered in crazy symbols and everything. And with it she sent an anniversary present, an obscure book with a study guide that was called something like "God and his role in your marriage." And we got another package for Christmas which rattled a lot, and one corner was broken in do we could see that SHE LITERALLY FILLED IT WITH NASTY BUTTERED POPCORN and a drift wood hanging "art" piece that had weird metal trees and a buck jumping. And also, she sends slices of a tree to us each year and writes on them with sharpie (literally!) the year and our names and happy holidays. The first two had my name spelled wrong and one of them broke! She drills a hole and puts a leather string through it as a hanger.

I didn't notice this because I never use my old email.. Well happy birthday again Jack, from Gamestop! hahah.

I have a lot to write about, but for now... music theory.

So I was thinking about the song "the summer of 69." It's one of my favorites and I've been listening to it on my playlist. I've also been watching old tv shows and movies, haha. There's a lot i realize now about what the song could be that I didn't see before.
He says, "I knew that it was now or never" and where I thought he was just being an anxious, crude teen fresh out of highschool, I realize he was actually literally meaning he had to profess his feelings for this girl, otherwise he might not get the chance. She said she'd wait for him forever, another hint.
There was a draft for the Vietnam war in 1969. He probably thought if he hadn't already been drafted, that he would be. And if he had, he knew after summer was over he'd be going to war.
His friend Joey got married that summer. I know people got married slightly younger at that age, but only a few months after graduating? I think his friend was going to war too.
Of course those would be the best days of his life. After that he'd be emotionally and physically scarred from war in Vietnam.
Dang. This song has the potential to be extremely deep and I didn't even know.

I think you'll like this!

This is INCREDIBLE! I think if MJ was still alive that he'd love this awesome dance tribute to his song "Beat it." I know you like cool things like this mom, just like I do :)

Dahm's stuff

Ok. This was a lot of work. I spray painted the pegboard into a better color than white, assembled the shelf I finished staining, collected all dahmahnic's junk, and then assembled everything and put his new welding sleeves right where he can find them :). I was going to put all of this in the little dug out space in the garage, but I decided I liked the pegboard being one long strip instead of a tall one or two square ones on either side with the shelf in the back. This is much more accessible! And now he can use the dug out for his welder and generator (I didn't want to move those myself. Talk about heavy!). Well I think and hope he will love it, it was a lot of work! Well we'll have to just see tomorrow!!
(P.S., I arranged the dug out after the photo was taken LOL)

Hmm.

Another reason I DON'T think fast food employees should get $15/hr... They can't even assemble a burger without a bum XD and sauces in packets.. although they DID give me more bacon than normal that day.

Apparently, this is a thing

Scary decorations!!

Cute Chihuahua

Ignore my swim suit cover!!! I didn't realize it sunk down! Haha I swear I'm wearing a bathing suit underneath!!! XD it was a good time, and we had lots of fun pigging out on seafood afterwards!!
