More finchies

I put a tiny bit of food there yesterday, and the mom ate it all and came back today with the boy finch and asked me for more, so I put more down, and within minutes they were going to town :)
They've got to have a nest somewhere nearby right? I mean she comes every day!

There are two versions. :)

Ricky's new cute habit

Lately, Ricky has been doing very cute things. For the last few weeks he's been sitting in front of his food, whining, when he wants to eat. And he won't eat a single bite until I insist and insist that he "eat it! get it!" At which time he will munch away until it's all gone :)

The cutiest Chihuahua (and smartiest)

So, it's still 10:30 pm, I was hanging out with Dahm in bed (since 7:30, he was TIRED) and watching a movie. I'd planned to come downstairs and take the puppies outside to potty before I went to sleep and to wash my face. Wellll I got a little distracted, and ended up cuddling Ricky and playing with Cocoa. Cocoa was hungry after going out to potty, and I wanted her to get her food. When she was halfway through, I'd picked up a jar of treats and was going to give one to Ricky because he was being so gosh darn good. I ended up feeding them way too many treats, in exchange for tricks of course! COCOA IS SO SMART. She learned a new trick IN TWO MINUTES. I've been building up her patience with me touching her paws for the last two days. I only would loop a finger under her arm when she was in a good mood, and I only did it one time a day. Each time i would tell her, "paw." well TONIGHT! I did the same thing, but gave her a treat immediately! Then, I did the trick with Ricky so she saw it. And you know what she did? The next time she gave me HER PAWWWWWWWW! Her tiny weenie little paw! SO CUTE. She did it several times afterwards and she is sooooo cute when she does it!
Also, I think Ricky finally understands "roll over." took the brat long enough LOL he only wanted to do it when he was calm and wanted bellies.Cocoa does it too if she's not too hyper. :)
I just wanted to tell you how cuuuute it was. I'll have to take a picture of it for you!! It is absolutely precious with such a small little doggie.

Greeeeeen onion!

Wowza! These little guys are growing quite well! I took this photo around 1:30 AM and tonight (10:30 pm) the tallest one is now an inch over the glass! Yes an entire inch! When I started these a few days ago, they were below the curve in the glass jar! And now two are sprouting new shoots! What an easy and fun project! Infinite onions! HURRAY!!! :) This was definitely a great idea. I just keep them in the window, change their water every day, and they're happy as clams!  hurray hurray :) I'm going to try it with lettuce next time!!! XD

Gardening adventure #1

Did you know you can regrow scallions/green onions from the leftover bits on bottom? I wish I would've known about this before I chucked half the bits! All you need is a jar or cup of water! It's so cool! I have had mine going since the 21st and I can already see new sprouts forming! I'll take pictures tomorrow!! Apparently you can do the same thing with romaine lettuce!!!

Gardening :)

Just some stuff that I've planted and such :)

Fun story idea

It's a twist on the old fountain of youth idea.
The idea is that you can easily find the fountain of youth, but there are conditions.
One, you can't control how young you become. I.e., you could be five minutes younger or you could turn into a five month old baby.
Two, you can only drink from it once. If you try to drink from it again you DIE. Mwuahahahah
I think that could make a great story LOL. Indiana Jones-esque XD

Lol's!

I was watching a family tv show on Netflix, and the littlest son was having issues sleeping because he believed the headless horseman was going to break through his window and do who knows what to get a head. The dad would have to read him a special book and sit with him before the kid could fall asleep. Well the uncle, normally a very irresponsible person, somehow gets the job of watching the kids while the parents go out to dinner. The parents come home and the dad asks the little boy if he'd like him to come upstairs and read to him. He says no, I'm not afraid anymore, uncle what's-his-moniker fixed that problem, and pulls out a Halloween mask of a severed head from under his blankie and scares his dad. The idea was that the fake head was already pre-severed and waiting to go, so if the headless horseman came by, he'd just happily take it and go on his merry way. It made me laugh so hard! It's not something a parent would think of - giving a kid something scary that could cause nightmares to get rid of another nightmare LOL. But it made me laugh because it's something so logical that it just might work!

Dear mom :)

Did you know that you can stain brick like you can stain wood? Definitely a couple days work but it turns out very pretty. And they have fixtures to put on garage doors to make them look pretty too! We should do fun stuff to the outside of your house when/if I get to come visit! Maybe we could plant a cactus garden ;) and make a pretty walkway. Sounds like fun to me!

Home stuff

I did THIS today, took a lot less time than the pantry haha. The bottom shelf is covered with the pretty paper, but the top is a cheat XD. I used the strip that was the leftover from the sheet I had to cut out for the bottom shelf.
I also put this on the banister awhile back!

More doge

His new ball and he fell asleep with his paw on his face!!! So cutie! :)

The pantry

As you know I've been beautifying my pantry lately. This next step took me WAY longer than I wanted it to. I think I started it around 11, and I finished it around 2.... A.M. it would've been easier if there was a grid on the back of the paper to cut instead of me having to measure 7 ft of it and cut it and take shelves out one by one to hang it. But it definitely looks prettier now :)

Cocoa

Has been playing with her lamb chop more and more. She still hasn't figured out how to squeak it, but she'll still carry it around and play with it. She also grooms it and keeps Ricky away hahaha :)
The other night she wouldn't put it down for anything, even belly rubs!
