I think so! he was starting to get tiny callouses on his elbow in the old one, then he scraped his elbows at the vet and kept scraping them on his tray, which he had to have in or else he would tear up carpet. But this bed he just snuggles up on :) it makes me happy :)
I wonder if having the hard tray first was what he needed to understand that the cushion was a privilege and not a chew toy?! :)
