Sorry it's been so very long since I sat down and had a good write. A lot has been going on! But, I am cozy on my bed with my new lappytop and I don't see why I shouldn't sit down and update everything!
Let me start with Halloween!
Well Dahmahnic and I really don't take too many photos when we are out and about, we usually get too distracted with having fun, so I'll just have to tell you all about it.
Firstly - For Halloween, we booked a couple tickets to go on a night cruise on the "Pirate Ship" adventure tours. We (I) thought of it early September, and we booked it a few weeks in advance so we were pretty excited.
Secondly - Costumes. We decided to be all cutesy couple like and we went with couples costumes. At first, I really wanted to do Buttercup and Westley costumes to keep kind of in the theme with the activity - piracy. LOL. Then I realized, NO ONE sells those costumes, and they'd be a pain in the tuckus to make, so I got to thinking. Dahm really likes The Fifth Element, so I thought why the heck not that's a great costume idea, and he thought it was brilliant of me as usual. So we went to the mall and made up our costumes. He pretty much just needed to cut the sleeves off an orange shirt, and I got some high-waisted shorts and a t-shirt (along with a wig that I had to cut and style haha) to give the appearance of wearing a cropped shirt without actually having to wear a cropped shirt. It was a lot of fun, we played all sorts of games on the ship, blasted some water guns, and were able to watch the Hilton fireworks from the ocean and it was a perfect view. Dahmahnic kept laughing when everyone was like, "You're the fifth element and that other guy right?" because he said that without me his "costume" literally made no sense. We met a lot of nice people that were around our age and we had a blast. Afterwards, we were driving home and Dahm said he was kinda hungry (It's like 9:30 pm) and we just barely had driven past this place in Waikiki that I had looked up online and had been dying to try (THEY HAD MACARONS!!!!). So we had us some dinner and cookies, and headed back. It was pretty fun.
November went by pretty quickly. We had a really good Thanksgiving, with just the right amount of leftovers for me to eat later :) we sold our old TV to Dahm's shipmate and buddy Renoud, and it turned out to be a perfect fit because he needed one that he could connect easily to a computer and it turned out our old one worked just fine for that. It still had a year left on the maintenance plan, and we had the original receipts and manuals and the box, so we both got a pretty good deal. I've mostly just been doing some home improvement stuff. I'm thinking about taking some of the money I can get for school and taking an interior design course. It's funny how you can just find out that you not only really like something that you previously thought was pointless, but also find out that you have a small knack for it. I've really been slacking on my crochet, I have been feeling a little burned out on it lately, and it gives me cramps all over from having to sit still and have to stare at your hands for long periods of time.
Dahm also bought me some lovely flowers, which I of course put on my flower table. We've been doing pretty well, but Dahm has been being a little frivolous with money. He actually GAVE a huge sum of it away which REALLY ticked me off. I'll have to tell you more about that over the phone, but he wasn't doing it to be mean and he misunderstood what I said to him (he DID try to discuss it with me at 5 in the morning).
Overall it's been really good. We have our reservations set up to go to Kauai for Christmas, and so far everything seems to be going very smoothly. The navy has stolen him again though, which is a MAJOR bummer. I don't know what that new captain's dealio is, he said he didn't really want to make them go underway too much, but he has it scheduled so often it's really quite lame. I'm hoping next year we get a real vacation, one where we can actually visit our families and stuff. SIGH. It's so weird to know that we won't be there in Wyoming this year, I know it's bumming me out way more than it's bumming him out. But I guess with it being so short, most the vacation would be spent travelling here and there and it really wouldn't be all that fun for him.
OH yes. My friend Leah had her baby, she's about two weeks old now and a cutie. Turns out though that baby Ella has a congenital issue with her thyroid that isn't genetic but actually occurs in 1/4000 babies for some unknown reason. Luckily, it's something that can be helped with medicine, and there's even a slight chance that she can outgrow it. I'm glad that if it had to be something that it could be something very manageable and something that won't put her in a lot of pain. I was helping one of her neighbors pick up a mattress with my truck (I made $20 just driving!) and it turned out she lived perpendicular to Leah! Her older daughter Aubree was playing outside with the neighbors, and she recognized me from outside the truck, and when I parked she got super excited and ran to give me hugs and kisses. She's pretty adorable and she's a hoot to boot. I think I'll be taking her to McDonald's soon so we can hang out and Leah can have some off time.
I posted a photo of the crochet Christmas stockings I made last year, and there were three, and Dahm's sister Heather was all, DID I MISS SOMETHING????? HHAHAHAHAH yeah noooooooooooooo. It seems like everyone I know either is having a baby, just had a baby, or is trying to have a baby. Kelsey Wilcox (now Norton) has a little baby, Trisha is preggers, a girl I went to jr high and highschool with is preggos, and I'm just standing over here with my doggies going, "Wait, what? Was there a memo I missed? Was there a pregnancy pact during a woman meeting that I skipped?" LOL. It still feels weird to be married, it seems like that's an old person thing (Well older than me person thing), I don't know what I'd do if I was about to have a kid. Maybe in like 5 years I'll feel old enough. Hahaha.
Anywaysssssssssss the dogs are super cute. Cocoa is in heat so she's been more willing to snuggle up to Ricky and play with him, which actually is really adorable and not weird except for a little bit. She took it upon herself to clean out his ears earlier this morning, which was a favor he shockingly returned. I bet if she acted this lovey all the time that Ricky would too. He's been being a peach haha, much more calm than usual because she's WANTED to play with him and rough house (as much as she can at least). Maybe she'll learn that he isn't just something that gets on her nerves hahahah. I'm thinking about breeding her next year or the one after if we move. I can't wait to hold cutey little baby puppies!!
Well I am starting to get a cramp in my hand, it's been awhile since I've typed this much! I love you all!
