Turns out....

Snails cause meningitis..
And apparently VERY dangerous for garden veg and fruits...
I guess they're getting saltwater baths :(

The Great Piano Project

Haha much work has been done since she first arrived in my house... and I have a belt danger now, so it should get even easier ;)
I've been taking her apart piece by piece to sand down and eventually paint. You would not believe the layers of dust, cobwebs, and dead bugs I've vacuumed out of her (the poor thing). She has great bones, and all the paneling I have to replace has been very easy so far. I will need Dahm to help me move her to the garage so I can sand the rest of her and begin painting the base! It's very exciting!!

Snails

Today's conflict between adult brain and my inner child....
-What's wrong with snails? All they do is snail around. And they're cool looking.
...They're an invasive species. They eat plants. They're slimy and will kill my plants. I'll put salt around the garden.
-But they're snails. You can just pick them up and throw them over the fence.
...But they won't get in at all if put salt around the garden.
- Who are you kidding? You've only shrivelled up slugs once and you were so guilty about it. Snails are just snails.

So for now I'm just chucking them over the fence.
